To ensure SIP Haus is bringing the best possible capability to our clients, we've invested heavily in the challenge of prefabrication. Things made inside go down in cost while things made outside go up in cost! So our goal is to move construction into the factory by prefabricating.

Already, our panels are ready-to-assemble, meaning each one is cut to size and fitted with the timber needed to connect it to the next one. To do more in the factory means to:
- Assemble panels into walls
- Install windows into those walls
- Build kitchens and install onto walls
- Build full bathrooms
In 2020, we participated in a feasibility study leading to a proposed Northern Australian Health Technology Enabling Centre – for the NT Department of Health. The foci in this study were remote, Indigenous and tropical. Subsequently, we developed a new way of putting up a small building, a Pop Cottage, that can deliver the essential components of health: a safe place to get a full nights rest; sanitation; as well as food storage and preparation.
The Pop Cottage solution is a building delivered in a container that unfolds on site into a little house. The aim of the Pop Cottage is to help those in remote areas with overcrowding in homes and hence facilitate better health. With the Pop Cottage, the entire building structure and fitout is prefabricated in the factory! |

Energy Assessment
We've collaborated with different providers, but we particularly value the ability to engage in discussions and optimise the building process. Our last four energy assessments averaged over 8.5 stars.
Engineering
Through experience we are usually able to specify most of the design, only requiring a design check by an engineer.
Initial Site Plan and Initial Design
Sometimes we do this work for you, other times you may have these outlines in place, or some idea of them.
We also remain in touch with several highly experienced, semi-retired architects who are extremely capable in establishing the site plan and the overall floor plan arrangement. Its a "never-fail" approach, and always adds value far beyond its cost.
