    Process Outline: Supplying your SIPs package
    1. SIP Haus Supplies sells Prefabricated Structural Insulated Panels (SIPs) and other building materials for delivery in a sea container to a customer’s building site, for manual unloading. A SIPs package order typically includes external walls, some or all internal walls, roof and double-glazed window set.

    3. Example projects are available, with the cost estimate of the SIPs package, to impart a sense of costs and value.
    4. A one-off rough cost estimate can be prepared at no charge, based on your indicative or sketch plan stage drawings or on your Development Application drawings.
    5. We base our final quote on a 3D Model of the SIPs aspect of the project: walls, roof, windows and so on. We can show this 3D Model as a selection of 3D images. We can also issue standard 2D plans and elevations as PDF. There is a nominal charge to develop this information.
    6. If the structural solution involves integration of another material with SIPs we are able to study the building method in detail, to articulate how the materials interface and inform construction plans. This is useful to limit interference between trades during the building process and avoid unnecessary costs. Our hourly rate applies to this work.
    7. We typically provide a fee proposal for the following: preparing all of the required drawings for the project, including the Design Development drawings, Development Application and Engineering Drawings; liaising with the energy assessor and the engineer; preparing the Building Licence documentation including Working Drawings; and schedules where needed. We can also issue a fly-through computer model where you use an app to move through a virtual representation of the design. The fee is based on the anticipated number of hours to complete the work.
    8. As the design evolves through the concept; developed design; development application; engineering and energy certification, we will update our quote.
    9. Orders are delivered to site within 90 days.
